Success Truth #7: Success is Built, Experienced, and Lived One Day at a Time

It is one day at a time; one hour at a time and one moment at a time that we must learn to live our lives. That is truly all we have to work with. The gift is success in the moment. That’s why it’s called the “Present.” Plan for the future of course, but don’t let it consume your greater consciousness. Remember to live in the day. Reminisce in the past only occasionally, for entertainment or for the purpose of therapy and growth. Live one day at a time, savoring the present moment. These simple words are the carriers of great wisdom, great success, great wealth and great abundance.

Isn’t it true that just about anyone can deal with all the fears, pains, and challenges of just one day? Can we be joyful for just one day? Can we experience innate abundance for just one day, one hour, one moment at a time? How about experiencing the beauty of life for one whole day? Could you do it? Could you manage to not complain, judge, or condemn, for just one whole day and experience gratitude instead? Try it… Could you believe and take action upon it for just one day? What if you had a little help- A little extra power to assist you each day? Then could you do it? Just one day!

It’s when we start to take on multiple days, weeks, years, multiple worries, and multiple possibilities that we multiply our troubles. We can drive ourselves mad with such an occupation, destroying whatever chance we may have had for abundance and success right here today. When you add the burdens of yesterday called the past, and fears of tomorrow called the future to your present 24 hours with which you have to live, they creep in and steal the present. You’ve been robbed, and the only one to blame is you. You overload the nervous system and effectively prevent peace and serenity from enter. It also can also halt your positive actions in their tracks.

The challenges of today are plenty, and all that you are adequately prepared to handle without overloading your wagon. Be forewarned future tripping, past wallowing, overloading etc. as an activity is monumentally ineffective in producing that which you desire. That is… unless misery and destitute failure is what you seek.

If you refuse to reside in the moment, then you effectively cut yourself off from your conscious connection with the present. You cannot effectively live in the heart of today. Since the heart of today is where you construct the now and the future, you are ineffective in creating what you want now or in the future. Your present moments are what helps to build your future, and yet you’re not here in the now to carry that job out. You rob yourself of the necessary resources for creating a future of abundance due to your absence in the here and now. You’re not showing up to do your job. You called in sick again and denied yourself the opportunity to get the work done today. You’re fired and now your just along for the ride!

You’ve got to show up every day if you want to succeed in network marketing. You have to show up every day if you want to succeed in life. You have to become a self-disciplined and self- motivated person to succeed big in MLM and in life. It takes perseverance and dedication to yourself, your business, and your dreams, your vision. When you do you win and win big in this industry and in life.

How can you build your abundant future when you are not on site to provide the necessary labor and intellectual input today? Let me explain. When you are outside of the present moment, you are cut off from a large portion of your being. That’s just a fact. Intuition cannot access your intellect. You cannot use the two way broadcasting center within you to send intention and receive inspiration and energy from the universe. The phone is ringing off the hook but there is no one in the office to answer. I realize I’m sounding rather metaphysical here again, but check out some quantum physics facts sometime and try and dispute the evidence of what I’m saying.

You see, life may be trying to teach you and coincidently receive your requests today also, and yet you are out to lunch.  Elvis has left the building… What kind of business is getting done while you are gone? How much work right here in the present is being accomplished? While you linger in the past or project your supposed future, or cook yourself in a tangle of your own overloaded circuits – you miss the opportunity to use the present to fully create the life you desire. There is work to be done and the time and place to do it is right here in the “here and now.”

Life is still happening around you and being created no matter where you may be at. You are within the parameters of the “now” creation that is being played out. However, when you detach from the present you are no longer playing an active role co-creating the existence you desire, and you miss all that life is offering you today. Opportunity smiles, waves, and passes you by. You subject yourself to the conditions that come your way through your inactivity to willingly participate in the process of creating your life. You become the victim of your own inactivity. Or even worse, you focus so much energy on your past woe, or future fears, that you begin to attract more of it in your life. These are toxic and dangerous, dangerous habits.

It is essential to focus on what is great about your life right now. What is good about today? Your focus must shift away from lack, and want, and towards what is excellent right now. List ten things in life that you possess and wouldn’t give up for one million dollars- ten things that you possess right now today. Your attention must move away from a conscious attitude of lack in your life and towards an attitude of abundance if you intend to produce and experience a windfall of success in your life. I guarantee that if you consciously dwell on what you are missing out on you will attract more lack into your life. It will be the reality you experience because it becomes your focus.

Focus is like a magnifying glass and a filter all at the same time. The energy you radiate as a result will only attract more of the same. It is like a magnet, and attraction is the principle. You must change the energy input you use to create your reality to change your reality. Direct your attention to expand upon abundance, gratitude, and wealth instead of lack, despair, or what you don’t have yet. You must become attractive to what you do desire. Negative energy does not attract positive energy instead it repels it. You simply can’t expect to manifest or experience contentment, gratitude, or wealth when you focus on lack and what you don’t have. It’s just the nature of how things work. This is a universal principle as real as gravity. You don’t have to see gravity to witness it’s effects.

You must focus on and experience gratitude and abundance if you wish to attract and experience it in life. Focus is a powerful principle that you should learn the secrets of. You see, what you focus on in life expands.

Are you here and present in the moment, or are you somewhere else most of the time? Are you focusing on gratitude and abundance that you already possess, or on lack, on things you want, and what you don’t have? Where do you intend to spend the remainder of today, the days to come, and what do you intend to experience?

Dr. Wayne Dyer says, “When you change the way you look at things in life, the things in your life change.” Only you can accept responsibility for this, and the only time you have to accomplish this shift in consciousness is right here, right now, in the present. Don’t blame life, don’t blame others, and don’t blame God for your luck. Instead simply look at yourself and accept responsibility for your part. Learn what your part is and own it! You don’t stand a chance of achieving great magnificent life until you will.

Will you now use today appropriately, and make your worthy ambitions the most likely outcome in your life? Or through lament and remorse of either past or future, will you defer the building of your greatest life for yet another day?

GOD is in the now moment whatever conception of “God” you may have. Now is where you find the support, inspiration, hope, guidance, resources and power necessary in the universe to create a life of success and abundance. You will not find it in yesterday, and you will not find it future tripping your tomorrows. You will not find it blaming others. You will not find it refusing to own your part.

GOD may have shown up for you yesterday and maybe not, but if you were not here in the present today to receive the gift, how would you know? You missed the opportunity that is in the right now.  I hate to sound redundant but this point is critical for your understanding.

Einstein’s definition for insanity is to do the same things expecting different results. Most of us have heard this saying before.  But the same thing is true for future tripping and morbid past re-visitations. Lack, fear, guilt, sorrow, and remorse will never produce the prize you desire. Don’t put yourself in the mental frying pan. Don’t direct your attention there. You must begin to restructure the now and begin to experience the life you desire today, not yesterday, not tomorrow, and not someday. The gift is in the moment. It’s in the present that you find and create the life that you have desired.  If you have mentally traumatic hang-ups that are preventing your progress there are remedies to deal with the specific issues and it depends on the specifics of the malady. But… the now is where the living miracle takes place. You won’t find it or create it elsewhere. You will not find it by placing blame on others or even looking at yourself in a negative light. You need to keep your eyes on what you are doing here in the present. You need to be honest with what your part is. This is the fertile ground where you must put action, intention, and attention to work for you. You must learn to travel this road to success living it one day at a time, one hour at a time, and sometimes one moment at a time. Focus is a vitally important aspect of your being. You must direct it appropriately for the tasks at hand.

I realize this seems to be a simple truth that many of you may have probably already heard. You see, living life one day at a time actually sounds quite simple. But it is more than what it may first appear to be to the untrained eye. It is actually a much harder discipline to actually master than you may at first realize. You must have a strategy to continually apply this technique to your life or the positive impact of your first attempts will tend to dissipate. Old and established routes of thinking (habits) must be erased from the landscape of your mind if they do not correspond with fulfilling your worthy visions, goals, and aspirations. New routes that support your worthy ambitions must become the well beaten paths in your consciousness (new habits). They must support you.

Success Truth #6: You Must Be Willing To Make a Fool of Yourself

It sounds silly, but it’s true. If you want to be wealthy, abundant, and truly successful, then you’ve got to be willing to do whatever it may take to scale the mountain of MLM success, even if that entails making a complete fool of yourself in the process. In life, you’ve got to be willing to go for it. You’ve got to be willing to take risks. If you don’t, then while you sit waiting for the perfect opportunity to come your way, life will pass you by. The perfect time to take advantage of opportunity is when it presents itself. The perfect opportunity is the next right opportunity that comes your way. Naturally, when an opportunity comes your way, you must research it thoroughly and consider the downside. But once you have done so, if necessary, be willing to go against popular opinion. Take a risk. Make a fool of yourself if needed. Remember, in life, there are only three types of decisions you can make: The right decision, the wrong decision, or no decision at all.

You have to capitalize on the next opportunity that makes sense, and cash in on it while it’s available. This is true of life and it makes perfect sense. Do this often, and even if you sometimes make the “wrong decision” you will prosper far more than those who spend their lives making no decision at all, or those who wait for the “perfect” opportunity to come along. There are plenty of people out there who are looking, but not taking any action. They wait for opportunities that are perfectly safe, extremely high yielding, and guaranteed to produce. They want golden opportunities served up on a platinum platter. Some of them are so skeptical that even when opportunities are presented to them in this way, they still turn them down! Amazing huh?  You don’t want to be counted among those who sit and wonder why life refuses to share its bounty, and who are cynical about every opportunity that comes their way. It’s better to take action and get some kind of result.

It’s sad to see, but every day, millions upon millions of these people are forced from their homes by a disaster called work. Work that they hate! Driven by the emotion of fear, they perform a series of mundane tasks (tasks that are unfulfilling and unrewarding) in order to maintain the illusion of safety, and security that they call a job. (The average American worker has only three months of living income as the sum total of their assets.) They do as they have been taught, conditioned, and instructed to do. Let me translate. It’s called three months from bankruptcy. Just like everyone else they know, they obey orders, and fulfill expectations placed upon them by their peers, family, friends, society, etc. They maintain the status quo. They fear taking risks outside the norm which might make them look foolish.

But every day during work or maybe on lunch break, you see other people out walking their dogs in the park. They’re playing with their children. They’re out shopping, dining, and genuinely enjoying life. They seem unfettered and unchained. And you may be wondering: “What’s wrong with this picture?” “Don’t these people have jobs?” “Why aren’t they at work today?” “How come they don’t have to do what I have to do?” You may be bitter, and understandably so.

Many of them don’t have to do what you have to do, because many of them are financially independent, wealthy, abundant and successful. When they work it is because they choose to. It feeds them emotionally because they love what they do. They have already climbed the mountain called success, achieved financial and success literacy, and are now reaping the rewards. They don’t have to do what you have to do because they already took the risks necessary and made fools of themselves if necessary, persevered, and won. They took action and followed through. And like them, if you want to become wealthy, abundant, and successful in your MLM business and in your life, you’ll have to be willing to do what they have done. The question is are you ready? Are you willing to learn and go to the lengths necessary to succeed? Without a “Compelling Reason Why” you probably won’t be.

You’ll have to follow in successful leaders footsteps if you want to enjoy the same rewards. When necessary, you’ll have to be willing to stand up for yourself and oppose the popular opinions of friends, family and peers. Thank them for their advice, scorn, and concern, and then reconsider within yourself the qualifications which they have to base their opinions. Remember 90% of the population is not financially free or secure nor will they ever be. Are they truly experts in the topics they lend council on? How much personal and direct experience do they have with these things they purpose to know about, and how abundant, successful, wealthy and fulfilled are they? Do you want what they have? Are they respectable success role models? Or are they lacking what you desire in life? Would you be better served seeking success council elsewhere? Like from the people who already have achieved what you want in life?

Consider this: when most people tell you something can’t be done, aren’t they really saying, they don’t know how to do it, they failed trying, or don’t know anyone who does? If you succeed in doing what they are unable to do, how would they react to your success? Would you receive a warm welcome? Would those who give you advice on such matters be excited, overjoyed, and seeking your counsel on how they might succeed as well? Would they become your protégés, believing in your plan of success and action, or would they remain the cynical, skeptics, and the same Chicken Little’s you may know them to be?

Be careful who you are taking your advice from. It can be downright dangerous to your success plans. Surround yourself with wise counsel and appropriately educated support. For some people, no amount of proof in the pudding will ever be enough. Their conditioning, their beliefs, and need to make their opinions be right overshadows all else. Others may only resentfully concede to your point of view.        If these and other unsuccessful ambassadors of little hope suit your role model of success, then by all means, feel free to adapt their skeptical behaviors and adopt their philosophies. But if you’re looking for more, if you are seeking success and abundance in your MLM business and your life, then don’t be afraid to look foolish in the eyes of those who do not understand your worthy ambitions and goals. You will not win their support. Don’t be afraid to boldly go where their little beliefs prevent them from going. Do not let them steal your dreams. Do not be afraid to take the leap of faith for your larger future, and take calculated risks that are in your favor. However, don’t be surprised when the roar goes up from the committee around you because you have blundered in their eyes and appear foolish before them. Just be sure the decisions you are making have been well considered first. You must search your heart and inspiration, counseling well with those you trust. Growth and clarity comes with the practice of sound habits based upon sound principles. When you follow through with this course of action, it is you who has the last laugh. It is you who reaps success in the end.

The truth is, we all make fools of ourselves now and then, no matter how right or wrong we may be, and we all cling to peer acceptance as a mechanism for feeling good. All of us have at least a few hundred blunders under our belts already. The successful person has many more than that. So be imperfect. Go ahead. Make your mistakes. Become bold. Lessen your demands for the approval of others. Blunder on a massive scale if necessary. Then learn from it and grow. Not everyone is going to see your path the way that you can see it. Not everyone can taste the same success that is in store for you.

Success Truth #5: You May Be Blocking Yourself from the Abundance You Desire

Anger, resentments, fear, guilt, shame, harm done to others, unfulfilled restitution, unconscious mental files, etc. may be blocking you from the success in your MLM business and the happiness in life you deserve. You may be creating your own devastating obstacles without even knowing it. Low antagonistic energies that are caused by anger, resentment, fear, and the like, will literally play havoc with your positive ambitions. Sound a little new age I know, but this has literal effects on reality from the stand point of physics and the evidence we continue to discover in this fascinating field.

If you do not create a sufficient positive force to counteract negative black holes in your psyche and eliminate them from your being, they will continue to suck the life energy out of your positive intentions. The darkness this negativity creates may be momentarily illuminated by your positive intentions, much like the effect of a flashlight in a darkened arena. However, without a sufficient positive force, the light presented will not be nearly enough to brighten the stage or theater of your ambitions. Your goal is to create and attract a sufficient positive force (power) in your life and become able to maintain it over time. Otherwise, the darkness of these negative character liabilities (fears, harms, resentments, self-loathing, negative beliefs, etc.) will block you from the success and abundance you desire. I am speaking in gross generalities I realize, but… Negative energy robs you of the light. You can call it life, you can call it light, you can call it high vibrational spiritual energy, or whatever you want. It does not matter. It still affects you. What matters is the fact that this negative energy attracts more of what you don’t want into your life and repels what you do want. This is a fundamental spiritual truth.

These precursors to self-sabotage (sometimes conscious, and more often un-conscious), have to be recognized, understood, and removed if they are presenting a threat to your progress and abundance in life. It depends on the nature of the malady but each instance shall have its specific remedy. They must be dealt with appropriately by the student who intends to truly succeed. It’s one more way that you grease the wheels and lubricate the process for least resistance.  If you do not address these issues, they may continue to manifest stubborn road blocks that inhibit your success, abundance and happiness.

The nagging symptoms of these afflictions will often present themselves to you in ways that are difficult to perceive or understand. Indeed, it may seem as if the universe is resisting your efforts and ambitions yet you can’t put your finger on the reason why. This is, in fact, much closer to the truth than you realize. This nagging affliction weakens our best efforts tends to disillusion even advanced students of success until it is properly identified and dealt with accordingly. The good news is there are specific strategies to identify and weed these bedeviling liabilities from your universe.

You must acquire a deep internal change concerning these negative aspects of yourself where they exist. Fears, resentments, harms, guilt, and restitution left undone must be addressed or little headway may be made toward the summit of your life’s ambitions. True peace, happiness, success, and abundance may elude you. You must master these precursors to self-sabotage and bring them into harmonious alignment with the principles of abundance and prosperity. If you don’t your expedition toward finding your greatest success and life will be in jeopardy. If you don’t address the obvious, you may find that after you have climbed halfway up the mountain of success, you can’t keep going up on your own strength alone. At that point, you are so overwhelmed, so frustrated and so despairing that you may willingly scuttle your provisions down the mountainside in fits of rage, remorse, confusion, guilt, or utter despair. Liabilities to your success must be identified and mastered.

If you’ve got a great MLM sponsor, great support, and a fantastic system in place and you’re not succeeding yet, you’d better dig a little deeper and start looking at yourself. Most 90 day MLM dropouts will point the finger at someone else or something else as the reason for their failure. Just remember when you start pointing fingers there are three fingers pointing back at the problem.

Make no mistake about it – you will never reach your full potential, or the abundance of joy, wealth, happiness, and success you deserve – until you first identify and clear these road blocks. If they torment you now, they will continue to torment you no matter how much money you may acquire, or what accomplishments you may achieve in life. Successful and abundant achievers know and realize this already. They have faced and overcome the challenges you may yet need to face as you progress.

You must learn how to make an honest self-appraisal, which takes account of your personal liabilities and assets. We will show you how. You must learn how to use a plan of action which cleanses these liabilities and converts them into assets. You will do this by following The MLM Success Equation. Strengthening of your spiritual assets (your inner universe) and the reclamation and strengthening of your character is a requirement for successful, happy, abundant living.
