How to Fail in MLM in 5 Easy Steps…
People talk to me all the time about what it takes to create MLM Success. I say “don’t quit!” But seriously I think it’s about time someone talks about how to fail in MLM. Don’t you? I think if you know what not to do your chances are sometimes even better than those who know what to do.
Everyone seems to know that there is a high dropout rate in this industry. It’s no secret, you hear about it all the time. You hear it quoted in industry statistics all the time and you hear it from those on the street.
“Ya my cousin tried one of those pyramid things before…man those things are all a scam.” “All he did was lose money man.” MLM success it seems is quite illusive to those who haven’t learned how to avoid the MLM failure trap.
You’ve heard the stories. In fact you’ve heard both sides of the story from those that have been there. You’ve seen and heard the unbelievable tales of MLM success, victory, and fortune. If you are in the industry many of these people may be your friends your upline sponsors and mentors even.
You’ve also heard firsthand the graphic tales of failure. Even many of the great success stories in this industry sometimes fell victim to the MLM failure bug until they figured how to stop doing what it takes to fail in this industry
There can be many reasons for failure in this industry but let’s take a look today at some of the more obvious and glaring malady’s that will prevent your MLM success and have you failing in life before you know it.
When People Fail in Network Marketing it is Most Often Because:
2.They lack the basic skills and knowledge necessary to succeed
3.They fail to develop the leadership necessary to succeed
4.They join a Lame Duck company
5.They stop promoting their business
Reason #1 They Quit:
People plain and simply give up before their success has a chance to come in. They want to get rich quick with little time, energy, and personal growth involved in it and its plain and simply an unrealistic expectation. People who think like this are often disappointed by life…
People need to understand that they are starting a business when the join and MLM company, that they need to learn to become entrepreneurs, and that they are on a 2-5 year plan right from the start. I won’t even work with people who expect to get rich quick without a major undertaking.
It’s possible to get rich quickly in this industry yes, but most people don’t have the resolve to commit to the regimen it requires. It’s much easier and more realistic to get them to commit to a program of steady action, learning, dedication, and personal growth that will take them surely and steadily in the direction of their dreams over the next 2-5 years.
With the advent of the internet and tools and systems that create exponential leverage it is easier than ever to apply exponential leverage to the equation, but you have to be properly trained and mentored first.
Either way it is going to require time, patience, dedication, and action. For some reason that scares a lot of people away I guess? If that’s what it takes to get rich and people call that kind of personal dedication and fortitude a scam… then I don’t know what to say… I hope you like your job I guess?
Reason#2 They Lack the Basic Skills and Knowledge Necessary to Succeed:
Did you know that success is an equation? That there is a predictable rhyme and reason to it.
It’s like a great recipe or system to create “Killer Chocolate Chip Cookies.”
If I gave you the exact recipe, the exact instructions, and ingredients… even if you had never baked before…you’d probably have some pretty awesome cookies when you were done right?
Success training is a huge, huge, part of the MLM Success Equation.
If you lack the basic skills, training, and knowledge necessary to succeed in life, your chances won’t be any better because you suddenly embrace MLM as your solution to greater success and abundance.
Under such conditions MLM Success can’t help but to pass you by. You are not attractive to success and until you change that fact, success is at a loss to reward you no matter what reliable system you will choose to achieve it through.
You plain and simply must attain the basic skills, knowledge, and training necessary to attain success either first or as a part of the journey.

Reason #3 They Fail to Develop the Leadership Necessary to Succeed:
MLM Success is all about leadership. Mlm is the business of personal growth.
Again that’s why I developed the products I have to help Network Marketers. You need to attain the skills of leadership and rise up leaders in your team who will do the same.
That’s how you grow a massive self-perpetuating team that creates a stable long term residual income for yourself. How many zeros would you like in your account?
People who fail to develop and/or train leadership in their teams fail to achieve this kind of MLM success.
So am I saying you have to become some awesome charismatic leader to enjoy MLM success? No I’m not saying that but it sure does help.
The biggest success stories in this industry are those who lead, teach others, give of themselves, and generally help others to succeed and become the very best that they can be. They are awesome human beings.
But with today’s technology it is so much easier than it used to be. There is less of a demand to have to become the super mentor and leader that old school MLM seemed to favor so fondly.
There are great solutions and tools available to today’s MLM marketer that never before existed and make the industry that much more powerful and MLM success attainable for average people. Once again you need the right, tools, training and support that’s all.
Reason #4 You Joined a Lame Ass Company:
This one is pretty self-explanatory really, and if you are in a lame duck company or team I’m not trying to pick on you here, it’s just a fact that happens in the industry. Not every company is what it should be.
Don’t just fall in love with a product and think that’s what is most important for your success in this industry. Training, timing, tools, support, marketing training, leadership training, a solid leadership team are all critical for your success.
Learn what it really takes to succeed in this industry before you jump in. Then you will be able to pick the right team and business for your success.
Reason #5 They Stop Promoting their Business:
This one is just as obvious. A business that stops marketing and promoting soon dies.
A bigger problem for many people is they were never really taught how to market and promote correctly from the start.
If this is the case there is no way you are going to be prepared for the rejection rate, the dropout rate, the failure rate and the incessant negative reactions you get from others. It will soon debilitate you mentally, take you out of the game, and kill your business.
So that’s how you fail in MLM.
I guarantee if you do these things unless you are a deviant masochist you’ll be dropping out and quitting before you know it. The good news is all these conditions are easy to remedy, prevent, and fix.
